John Long Hadley was the son of Jonathan and Nancy Ann (Long) Hadley. He married 1st Elizabeth Bray. After her death, John married Winnie L. Warden on 31 Dec 1839 in Orange County, North Carolina. They moved to Hendricks County, Indiana and then lived in Black Hawk Township, Jefferson County, Iowa.
The "U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule of 1850" recorded John's death in Polk Township, Jefferson County, Iowa.
