Enoch Haines was born in 1711 in Burlington County, New Jersey [1] to Richard Haines and Mary Carlile.[2]
Enoch was married a second time to Abigail, some time shortly before August 14, 1749. This is the date that he was reported to Haddonfield MM for marrying contrary to discipline. His acknowledgement dated 11 mo (Jan.) 61849/50 was accepted by Haddonfield 11 (Jan.) 8 1849/50. He was accepted back into the Society of Friends as a member in good standing.[3]
The fact that Enoch's daughter, Deborah was married in 1851, indicates that he had a previous wife, of whom there is no record.[4]
Enoch had 3 children. It is unknown who their mother is.
