1777 – North Carolina: Joel Halbert, Junior – American Revolution War - As a resident of Surry Co., North Carolina during the American Revolution, Joel Halbert served as a soldier in the Surry County Militia of the Salisbury District. His name is listed on page 385 in ROSTER OF NORTH CAROLINA SOLDIERS IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, by the North Carolina Society of DAR – 1932[6]
