Research Notes
John Hale was born, married and died all within Newbury, Massachusetts. He is mentioned in their Vital Records. There is no marriage for a John Hale and a Hannah Seether within their records. Even if they married in another town there would have been an entry in the Newbury records since that is where John made his home.
There are no family members with the Last Name of Seether (or any spelling variation) in the town of Newbury. John and Hannah's daughter, Hannah Williams was supposedly born in Essex, New Jersey about 1699. During this time, John was still married to Sarah so if this is true, Hannah would have been illegitimate. If that's the case, then John would be the father but not a husband to Hannah Seether. Both spouse and child have been removed.
More research to prove this relationship is needed before reattaching them.
