She married Daniel Troxell before 1808[2] and together they had 12 children.

In the 1850 US Census, she is listed in the household of her son, George Washington Troxell. She is said to be "insane" and unable to read or write.
She died on 10 April 1858; Daniel is referenced as the son-in-law of Jacob Halfacre in a land deed on 31 August 1808. Washington County. [3]
Will of Catherine Troxell
The will of Catherine is recorded in the Washington County, VA Will Book Volume 14 on January 12, 1858. A transcript was posted on the Facebook page of the Historical Society of Washington County VA. [4]
The will asserts that Catherine is the heir to her father Jacob Halfacre's land, and mentions the following children:
