Biography

William was the son of John and Rebecca Rigsby Halford. He joined the Union Forces in the Civil War and thru his military records he received a pension for his service in the 2nd Tennessee Mounted Infantry Company C . The records shows where he enlisted in 1863 and discharged in 1865, The 1890 census for Union Pension holders showed him in Gibson Co. Tennessee.
