Biography

William Hallock, son of Willam and Dinah Willets Hallock, born 1722/1730 in Stony Brook, Suffolk, New York and died in 1782 Huntington, Suffolk, Long Island, New York. He married Sarah Sexton (Saxton), daughter of Charles Sr and Sarah Jamison Sexton. Zephaniah Platt who was serving in the Revolutionary War with him married Hannah, her sister. On page 6 Charles Hallock gives an account of their courtship and marriage. In the Revolutionary War he commanded picket boats near New London on Long Island Sound, New York.[1]

It says 1748 in the profile now. But I don't understand why it says Greenwich Suffolk NY. I'm sure I didn't post that. I don't think such a place ever existed.

The marriage was most likely 1748 and it was a typo. Birth of first child was 1750.

Hi, In this profile William was born in 1722 and died in 1782, but was married to Sarah in 1648. Is the marriage date incorrect or is this a wrong marriage link?
