David Demaree Halstead was born on 24 Feb 1811 in New Paltz, Ulster County, New York, USA, son of Isaac Halstead (~1768 - 1863).
David married Betsy Melissa Hillyer (1813 - 1902) on 22 Nov 1832 in Johnson Twp., Trumball Co., Ohio. Their children were:
