Biography
Rebecca Hamilton was born in Drummanail, Donegal, Ireland about 1839. She was the daughter of Moore Hamilton and Mary Jane Long.[1]
She married James Moore on 24th May 1866 at the Manse of the Presbyterian Church, Kyneton. She was 26 years old, residing at Glenhope, Kyneton. Witnesses to the marriage were her brother, Moore Hamilton, and sister, Mary Jane Hamilton.[1]
James and Rebecca lived at Shirva, Miners Rest,[2] and had eight children.
Rebecca passed away on 21st May 1891, aged 51, and was buried in the Dowling Forest Cemetery.[3][2][4]

Take Care: Rebecca HAMILTON, daughter of Moore HAMILTON, married James MOORE, and had a son James Hamilton MOORE. Her brother, James HAMILTON, had a son James Moore HAMILTON. Another brother, Moore HAMILTON, had sons, James HAMILTON and Moore HAMILTON. Many have confused the members of this family.
