Samuel Hancock was born on April 13, 1712 in Wrentham, Suffolk, Province of Massachusetts Bay. His parents were Anthony Hancock and Elizabeth Goddard. ^{[1] [2]}

He married Elizabeth Ware on November 11, 1735. ^[2]
