Jabez served in the Revolutionary War in 1778,.
Silas served as a Private during the Revolutionary War in 1778 with Captain John Carpenter's Company in Colonel Ezra Wood's Regiment.[4][5] Colonel Wood was the husband of Anna Chapin Wood.
Death and Burial
Silas passed away on January 25, 1816 in Waterville, Oneida, New York. He is buried alongside his wife, Rachel Wright Hancock and their daughter Rosanna Hancock Swetland, and her husband, Benjamin Swetland, in the Waterville Cemetery in Waterville, Oneida County, New York.[6]
