Handy, William, planter,Somerset Co.,20th Feb., 1733-4; 19th June, 1734. To wife Elizabeth, 1/3 of real estate during life, and 1/3 personal estate absolutely. To son Samuel and hrs., 444 A., dwelling plantation, “Suffolk” (except as hereafter excepted), he dying without issue to son Thomas and hrs.; and personalty. To sons Thomas and William, personalty. To son Stephen and hrs., 200 A. had of Griffin Thomas and part of dwelling plantation on w. of branch adjoining to the plantation of sd. Griffin; sd. son dying without issue to son William and hrs. Residue of estate to be divided among 4 sons afsd. Exs.: Wife and son Samuel. Test: William Mills, Samuel Mills, Francls Allen. 21. 162.

Eliza. Handy's bond to Wm Handys orphans Somerset County in Maryland

Know all men by these presents that ^wee^ Eliz.a Handy Jn.o Handy and Isaac Handy all of Somerset County in the province aforesaid are holden and firmly bound unto Samuel Handy Thomas Handy William Handy and Stephen Handy orphans of William Handy dec.d in the full and Just Sum of four hundred and twenty four pounds Seven Shillings and four pence Currt money of Maryland to be paid unto the said Samuel Handy Thomas Handy William Handy and Stephen Handy their heirs Exe.rs adm.rs or assignes to the which payment well and truely to be made and done we bind Our Selves our and either of Our heirs Executors and adm.rs for the whole and in the whole Joyntly and Severally firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this Twenty fourth day of November ann Dom 1736

The Condition of the above Obligation is such that Whereas the Commisary Gen.ll hath Transmitted unto this Court the account of the Estate of William Handy dec.d wherein it is found that there is Ballance due to the abovesaid Orphans the Sum of Two hundred and Twelve pounds three shillings and Eight pence Curr.t money of Maryland if Therefore the abovesaid Elizabeth Handy John Handy and Isaac Handy or any or Either of them or any or Either of their heirs Ex.rs or adm.rs do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the afd Orphans the afd Sum of Two hundred and twelve pounds three Shillings and Eight pence Curr.t money of Maryland according to will and the act of assembly when they shall arrive at full age to receive the Same then the above Obligation to be void & of none Effect otherwise to remaine in full force & Vertue Eliz.a Handy (seal) Sealed & Delivered Wm Lane John Handy (seal) In the presents of Thos Williams Isaac Handy (seal)
