Biography

Samuel Hanna was born in about 1741 in Virginia. [1]

He married Jane Hamilton in 1765 in North Carolina.

He died on December 1, 1834, at the age of 93, in Tennessee. He was buried in the Matthews Cemetery in southport, Maury County, Tennessee.[1]

Inscription

"SAMUEL HANNA (sen) lies here. who departed this life the 1st day of December 1834. Aged about 93 yrears. He for many years resided in Iredell Co. N.C."

He and his wife whose maiden name was Hamilton were married approximately 1765 in North Carolina, where they resided in Iredell County for many years.
