Secondary Information

Henry P. Scalf, "Kentucky's Last Frontier," (1966) - note on FamilySearch tree, individual: K2XM-688 - Unable to read book, only accessible as a title page:
"pages 121, 122, 123,134,
Ebenezer was one of the pioneers that tried settling Licking Station (present day Magoffin County, Kentucky) 1794, with Archibald Prater. Clayton Cook and others but were chased off by the Indians. They retreated to a location in present day Nicholas County KY. The historical marker said that they came from South Carolina but Scalf rightly pointed out that they were from Pennsylvania. He also stated that Ebenezer was already married with children.
Ebenezer served as Justice of the Peace 1808 and 1812. Other members of the family served as constables, surveyors etc.
Elder Daniel Williams founded new church Burning Springs Assoc. along with Rev. Sam Hanna; he credited this to Ebenezer unaware that the first Rev. Samuel Hanna was the brother of Ebenezer, not the second Rev. Samuel Hanna born 1802, son of Ebenezer and Margaret.
Scalf described Ebenezer as a distinguished and nited as being one of the founding pioneers that had faced the raiding tribes of Indians, privation of establishing a new community, days of hard labor building the fort and cabins for the families."

Hannah-2102 and Hannah-714 appear to represent the same person because: Needs research, but relatively sure that same individual. Same mother, wife is same although one profile has her with unknown surname so she will also need to be merged. Same birth and death dates.
