Biography

Bernt Hansen was born at Sjøl, Sande, Vestfold in 1800, the son of Hans Olsen and Marthe Olsdatter, He was married in 1820^[1] to Anne Jørgensdatter. He died at Gran, Sande 7 and was buried 11 Jul 1852^[2]

Research Notes

[24 Nov 2020, Sandve-4]: According to Karen Lee Singer's genealogy website, Bernt had three more daughters whose names are unknown, in 1851, 1852, and 1860, despite the fact he died in 1852. The Sande church books list no such births and its most likely that they were either children of another Bernt ___ (which do appear in the KBs) or they just didn't exist. IMHO, they probably should be merged into known children by the profile manager, so as to make the Wiki profiles for them go away, since there are no credible primary or secondary sources which support their existence.

[16 Jun 2022, Horvei-21] One Bengt Christophersen (Christophersen-584) had 6 children with Anne Hansdatter christened in Sande 1850, 52, 54, 56, 60 and 63. The 3 profiles have therefore been transferred to him to avoid removing profiles]
