DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Joakim or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joakim:

Hej!

Hi Joakim!

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Hi Joakim,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Welcome to WikiTree, Joakim! I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years. One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Check out the New Member How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

Do you speak more than one language? If so, would you consider adding our languages template to your biography? It really aids collaboration with other members. For example, if you speak Swedish, Finnish, and English, you could copy the following code, then edit your own profile, paste it as a top line, and save.

{{ Languages | sv | fi-3 | en-3 }}

That will place a box on your profile which lets others know which languages you are comfortable with.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Let me know by replying to this comment or sending me a private message.
