Biography

McKinzie "Kinzie" Hardesty was born about 1779 in Pennsylvania. He married Sarah Kemper on May 23, 1803 in Fayette County, Kentucky[1]. Kinzie passed away before May 13,1865 in New Castle, Henry, Kentucky when his Inventory and Appraisal of his state was recorded. His burial details are unknown[2]

Kinzie and Sarah (Kemper) Hardesty had at least two children:

Containing as supposed one hundred and seventy-six acres, also the house and lot in New Castle now occupied by me. This conveyance is subject to the following understanding and condition, that the said Hardesty s to live on said lot and occupy said house so long as he shall live and to manage the same for his own use. Also to use and enjoy the lands above mentioned for his own use and after his death, if the same should occur before said Mary and Sarah shall have arrived to the age of twenty-one, then from his death til they shall arrive to said age the mother of said Mary and Sarah if she shall not have married is to enjoy one fourth of the benefits of lot, house, and lands until they shall have attained the age of twenty-one, but no longer and the like provision in said house, lot and lands if hereby made for Polly Fleming, daughter of said K. Hardesty, with the limitations the same as the mother of Mary and Sarah. Signed Kinzea Hardesty.
