The family moved to the Mudgee region to continue work for the Cox family on their property "Broombee" Both of her children born in Suffolk travelled with her to the Mudgee region.

Mary passed away[3] on Monday, 20th October 1890 at Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia, aged 83 years, 1 month, 14 days. Mary is most likely buried at Triangle Swamp, the family grave site.
