Sept. 2021: My ALS has progressed to my hands so am learning to type and use the internet with my eyes. So, I may be slow in responding. It’s kinda tricky! Thanks for your patience.
I have lived most of my 70+ years in California (Bay Area) but have spent many many months/years exploring the East Coast, discovering and then writing up each of my family lines - all arrived before the Revolution. Following is a list of the books. From 1982-1995 they are in my maiden name, Harrell, then in my married name, Gerlack. All are heavily footnoted, with maps, etc. Really enjoyed getting to know these ancestors.

The Osbornes - An account of Thomas Osborne, who arrived in Virginia in 1619, and his descendants, who for five generations lived in Henrico (now Chesterfield) County, Virginia, then moved first to Amelia (now Prince Edward) County, Virginia, then to Charlotte County, Virginia, and later to Middle Tennessee. Related families: Jones, Worsham, Fowlkes, Robertson and Gayle. 1983.

Just wondering what your relationship is in this family, I was working with the profile managers and they seemed to agree that they are the same person, can you provide the information you have that proves that they are not the same person? Thanks

Ed grew up in Charlotte Co. 90 miles away from Chesterfield! How would they have met? Plus, there is no proof that father Reps married a Frances. Also there was already a profile for this Edward before this profile was created. It say Ed's mom was Rebecca Goode, which is more likely since the Goodes migrated with Osbornes.
Yes, I am interested in pursuing the Carmichael line as you identified. Do you have any sources I could use? Thanks, Dennis Gordon-7317
I added Mr Carmichael when I was working on unknowns, specifically Sally Unknown Barker Unknown-489134. I'm not related though.
Thanks, Natalie

If you have different information, I would love to see it.
Hi Andrea, Thanks for the welcome. Question. I have a five generations with 5 Profile Mangers. There is an issue with the first generation (1619-by1642). Since they all link back, I'd like them all in the conversation, like a group email. Is there a way I do that? Betty
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit with the tag and profiles you entered. Adding the tag United_States will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
