Death of Richard Harrison
Richard Harrison, a pioneer of the county, died Monday night at his home east of the city, his death being the end of a long illness. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the residence of Rev. P. O. Duncan. Burial was in the Smiley cemetery.
The deceased was seventy-five years of age and born in Kentucky. He had lived in this county for many years and was a highly respected citizen. Since early life he had been a faithful member of the Methodist church. He leaves a wife and four children.

The funeral was held at the late home of deceased on Wednesday, burial being made in the Smiley cemetery.

1870 the family was still living in KY at Bewleyville, Breckinridge, Kentucky 1880 Census showed that Richard and his wife, Nancy, were living with their son, William in Franklin, Johnson Co IN, both listed as 54 years of age.
