Biography

Lloyd Wilford Hartley was born 18 September 1914 in Alberta, Canada to Ira Stearns Hartley and Mary (Mae) Jordan Hartley.

By the time the youngest sister, Lenore, was born, the family was living in LaGrande, Oregon, and later moved to Ontario after the death of their father.

He married Virginia B. Kanrich 31 August 1935, and they were parents to 2 children, Susan and Lance.

Lloyd was an entrepreneur who settled in Ontario, Oregon, where he and Virginia raised their family.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife and son and he passed away 19 January 2001 in Washington, where he came to live to be closer to his daughter in his final chapter of life.

He is fondly remembered as being very generous and kind.
