Married JOHN HENRY ARNEY on 7 Feb 1853.^[1][2]

Research Notes

• The 1850 Census shows that one of the Hauser's neighbors was the Andrew and Elizabeth Arney family; however, their last name was mis-transcribed as "Amey." They have a son named Henry who was 18 at the time of this census. I strongly suspect that this is the John Henry Arney that Elizabeth married.^[3][4]

• In the 1860 Census, there is a J.H. Arney and M.E. Arney, both born in 1834. They have four children ranging in age from 0 years to 6 -- P.E., S.E., J.L. and F.W. These could very well be the same John Henry & Mary Elizabeth Arney, but we don't have any more information about who their children are, PLUS they are living in Marshall County, Iowa. Again, more research needs to be done to confirm whether or not this is the right family. ^[5]

• George Hauser willed to several of his children "The real estate I have deeded to them in Marshall County, Iowa as their full share of my estate." John H Arney and Elizabeth Arney (family of Elizabeth Hauser) are among the listed children.^[6]
