Biography
When Ellen ( Ella Mae ) Hawkins was born on May 8, 1858, in White River, Arkansas, her father, William, was 22, and her mother, Anna, was 13. She married George Washington Wright Jr on September 20, 1871. They had 17 children in 22 years. She died on November 2, 1944, in Phil Campbell, Alabama, at the age of 86.[1][2]
