Biography
Funeral services for Edna Monday, 73, of Rockwood, who passed away Nov. 18, 1996, were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary. Rev. Bud Strader officiated. Graveside services and interment were Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Glen Alice Cemetery. Mrs. Monday was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mallie Loden Hayes. Survivors include her husband, Earl E. Monday Sr., of Rockwood; sons, Earl E. Monday Jr., and wife Nettie of Lascassass, Tenn., and Gary Monday of Rockwood; grandchildren, Travis Lee Monday, Bailee Grace Monday and Ann Monday; sisters, Wilma Knox of Crossville and Ruby Hayes of Rockwood; and several nieces and nephews.
