There is conflicting information. Bailey's father was Jacob Hayes his mother was Elizabeth Rector. Was Jacob's father Edmund Hayes from Baltimore (Baptist) or David M. Hayes Pa. Quaker? I found paperwork online in which Edmund Hayes is a witness to a land purchase by Jacob Hayes in Fauquier Co. Jacob Hayes is listed in the 1800 census of Fauquier Co. See also:

Hayes-835 and Hays-1315 appear to represent the same person because: Very close names and dates with minor variations. Same spouse and place of birth. Father has same name, but those profiles should be merged first if possible.
