Biography

Birth dates for the above children is from HENRY ENGLISH BIBLE. Greene County. Georgia. Betsy was only 42 years of age when she died. Henry English records in his Bible the following: "Oh that I may be ready to meet the call of God when it shall come as I believe she was", copy Henry English Bible. Greene County. Georgia, published by Jeannette Holland Austin in GEORGIA BIBLE RECORDS. Henry English, son of Stephen and Dinah Haynes English, married Betsy Haynes, daughter of Henry and Sarah Haynes and raised a family of eight children, two boys and six girls. Henry was a soldier in the American Revolution Army, a private in Col. John Stewart's Regiment.. Knight's Roster of Georgia Troops, page 404.
