Biography

Jonathan Hayward 3 (William 2, William 1) was born on April 8, 1672, in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts, the son of William Hayward.^[1][2][3]

He married Trial Rockwood in 1693 (roughly)^[4], and they had four children together.^[2]

After Trial died, between 1701 and 1704, he married Grace. (Her last name and birth date, as well as their marriage date, are uncertain) They had at least five children together. ^[2]

They may also have had a daughter Trial and a daughter Elizabeth.^[2]

Grace died in 1720. ^[17][18]

Jonathan "Howard" was baptized in the Baptist church at Swansea on 6 July 1721.^[19]

Jonathan's third wife was named Elizabeth.^[20]

Jonathan died in Ashford, Windham County, Connecticut in 1734.^[21] His will mentions sons William, Jonathan, Jonathan's son Oliver, David, Joseph, John, and Samuel; daughter Sarah; wife Elizabeth^[20]
