Biography

Richard was in Virginia prior to 1810, where his older, apparent children were born. Younger children were born in Washington County, Kentucky beginning about 1814.

In the 1880 US Census, Joshua and Thomas Hazelwood each report that both their parents were born in Virginia.

Three Similar Men

  1. Richard Hazlewood (b. c1781, VA) is living in the household of Mrs. Nancy Riney in the 1850 Census of nearby Marion County, Kentucky.
  2. Richard Hazelwood (b. c1782, NC) is found living with Garret Hazeleood (b. c1825, KY) and George Hazelwood (b. c1807, VA) in the 1850 Census of Washington Co., KY
  3. Richard Hazelwood (c1797-1859) from Virginia, son of Cliff Hazelwood and Phoebe Cousins, lived primarily in Green and Taylor Counties. He is shown in the 1850 US Census of Taylor Co., KY.
