"Casper was the son of Johannes Wilhelm Heckert and Elizabeth G Fischer. He was the husband of Catherine Steinbrecker. Served as a private in the Berks Co. Militia in the Revolutionary War"[1] Caspar Heckart was born on Dec 23, 1759 in Lower Heidelberg, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA as the third child of Johannes Heckert (Heckard, Heckardt) and Elisabetha Gertraut (Gertrude) Fischer. He had six siblings, namely: Peter, Wilhelm, Elizabeth, Michael Sr, Philipp (Philippus), and Frederick. He died on Jun 16, 1837 in Lower Mahanoy, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, USA. When he was 19, he married Anna Catharina Steinbrecher,daughter of Dietrich Steinbrecher and Catharina, on Aug 31, 1779 in Killinger, Upper Paxton, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, USA (Lykens Valley Lower Church).
