John was born in 1756. He passed away in 1790.
John Heller II the eldest son of John Heller I, the emigrant , was born in S. C. between 1755- and 1760. He served in the Revolution (presumably as a private) in the Militia Regiment of Colonel Philemon Waters after the fall of Charleston, receiving as payment L2-4-3-1/4 sterling (S. C. Rev. Accts. AA3617), Upon the death of his father intestate, he inherited the 300 acre tract granted John Heller I the emigrant in 1768. On January 28, 1790 he conveyed 1/2 of this tract, or 150 acres to his brother Jacob Heller (Newberry Deed Book E, pp 510-13.)
John Heller II apparently died in 1790 or early 1791 leaving a widow Catherine, three daughters, three sons under 16 and possibly one son over 16. A copy of an inventory of the goods and chattels of the Estate of John Heller II as appraised November 12, 1791
Catherine's maiden name was apparently Ruff. See Will of Christian Ruff dated 1797, referring to daughter Catherine Heller, in Summer, Newberry County, S. C. Historical and Genealogical, Newberry, S. C. 1950 p 267 and deed from Catherine Ruff to son John Heller III dated January 22, 1803
Catherine was born before 1755 (described as over 45 in census of 1800), and apparently married Henry Gallman after 1800.
