Ludwig was born on April 27, 1858 in the village of Neudorf in the Glückstal district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Jacob Helm and Carolina (Schauer) Helm. He was the fourth of their 11 children. Ludwig was baptized on April 27, 1858.[1]
Death
On December 11, 1861, at the age of 3, Ludwig passed away in Neudorf.[2]
