Karolina Helm was born on April 4, 1889 in the village of Neudorf in the Glückstal district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Ludwig Helm and Margaretha (Hieb) Helm. She was the third of their 5 children. Karolina was baptized on April 16, 1889 in Neudorf.[1]
Immigration
On June 11, 1889, at the age of 1 month, Karolina, along with her parents and brother, arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Werra traveling from Bremen, Germany.[2]
Marriage
On October 15, 1907, at the age of 18. Karolina married Edward Nusz (1886-1941) in Java, SD.[3]

Death
On November 3, 1919, at the age of 30, Karolina passed away in Java, SD. She is buried in Saint Paul Cemetery in Java.[4][5]
