Services for Henry Lavell Henderson of Ochlocknee are at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Norman and the Rev. Buddy Singletary will officiate and interment is in the church cemetery. Mr. Henderson died Saturday, March 29 at his residence. Active pallbearers are Tony Henderson, Robbie Tucker, Randy Watson, Keith Henderson, Rocky Prosser and Buddy Skinner. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Henderson, Robert Prosser, Dusty Jackson and Trent Jackson. Born April 17, 1940, in Thomas County, he was a son of the late Hoyt Henry Henderson and Minnie Grace Chastain. On June 3, 1959, in Thomas County, he married Gladys Docie Suber who survives. He was a truck driver in the produce industry. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Gladys S. Henderson of Ochlocknee; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Henderson and Amy Ochlocknee, Tony Henderson and Teresa all of Ochlocknee; brother and sister-in-law, James Larry Henderson and Janice of Thomasville; brothers, Joseph David Henderson of Ochlocknee, Hoyt Henry Henderson Jr. Ochlocknee; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Eugene Henderson and Mary of Ochlocknee; sister and brother-in-law, Debra Gail Beckwith and Don of Ochlocknee; sister and brother-in-law, Tamela Marie Henderson and Bruce Simmons of Ochlocknee; sister, Deanna Malissa Henderson of Atkinson County; and grandchildren, Dylan, Dallas, Chasity, Marty, Angel, Tyler and Kacey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Dale Henderson; a son, Kirby Lavell Henderson; and a granddaughter, Melinda Kay Henderson.
