Thomas worked all of his life as a farmer, mostly in Tennessee. The 1910 census finds him in Texas, but by the time of his death in 1918, he is in Tennessee again.[2]
Thomas died from tuberculosis and was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah[2]. He shares a headstone with his sister, Mary, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County, Tennessee[1].
