Gilbert was born in 1924. He was the son of Andrew Herrman and Josephine Depperschmidt. He passed away in 2006. Gilbert C. Herrman, 81, Liebenthal, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Liebenthal to Andrew and Josephine (Depperschmidt) Herrman.
He married Irene E. Schoenberger on June 30, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned Herrman Construction and was a brick mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Chris Voelz; a granddaughter, Christy Ann Rohleder; and two sisters, Irene Schmidt and Theresa Lewis.[1]
