Biography

Mary (Herttell) Kemp is part of a Bahamian family.

Mary was born 7 September 1861 in Key West, Florida.^[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Governeur Herttell and Caroline Lowe.

She married Andrew Joseph Kemp on 7 June 1882 in Key West in a ceremony performed by Chas. T.D. Lyne, Rector of St. Paul's Church.^[2] The couple had no children.

Mary died on 24 March 1952 in Key West,^[3] and she is buried there in the City Cemetery.^[4]
