The William Hicks who married Sarah Reeves appears to be the son of John Hicks (see Turner and Walker Families and land grant dated 1750). Although it is possible that Mary Hicks Stovall is the daughter of William Hicks/Sarah Reeves, she has not been identified in records as their daughter. In fact, Mary Hicks Stovall is generally reported to be born in Virginia.
