Ambrose Hicks was born on April 5, 1788 in Sackville, New Brunswick.[1] He was the son of Josiah Hicks and Lydia Finney.
Ambrose married Sarah PATTERSON. Sarah died after 1825.
They had the following children:
M i John HICKS was born about 1813. He died on 5 Oct 1843 and was buried in Sackville (GR3), Westmorland Co., NB.[2]
Research Notes
Ambrose apparently married Martha Durham in 1809 and had 2 sons, Ambrose in 1814 and Thomas in 1816. This conflicts with the marriage to Sarah Patterson.
Some sources have him married to Lavaina Stiles in 1835. This is obviously his son's marriage.
Ambrose had 5 children in total. It's not clear as to who was the mother of each.
