Funeral services for Irvin F.Hicks, 80, of Rt 1 Camden were Tuesday at Sullivan funeral Home. Camden, with the Rev. Galeon Campbell officiating. Burial was in the Camden Cemetery. He died at 4:30 am Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Lafayette following an illness ot one year Born Dec. 2, 1894 in Casey County, KY he was the son of James and Ida Williams Hicks On Aug 19. 1915 in Liberty, KY he married Anna L. Wethington who survives. A retired railroader, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainsmen and a member Of Gum Lick Christian Church, Gum Lick, KY. Other survivors include two sons. Oral of Delphi, and Wilbur of Huntington a daughter, Mrs Opal Maxwell of Rt 1 Camden, two brothers, James M. of Whiteland, and Jesse of Liberty, KY; three sisters, Mrs Bessie Wethington of Elkhorn, KY; Mrs. Mary Summers of Liberty, KY; and Mrs. Ebbie Long of Cincinnati, OH; 14 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren A son preceded him in death.
