John Higley was born on 17 Feb 1722 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut, son of Rev. Brewster Higley Sr. (1680 - 1760) and Mrs Hester Sarah (Holcombe) Higley (~1684 - 1775).

John died in Aug 1802 in Simsbury aged ~80. He is buried in Simsbury Cemetery, Simsbury.
