Biography
His father, Brewster, was a Deacon and Joel became a member of the First Congregational church when he was fifteen
Veteran of the Revolutionary War - served in the CT Train Band in Hartford - he was commissioned Lieut.
He married Eunice Haskins and they settled in Granby, CT - parents of Joel, Abiah, Lucinda, Eunice, Electa, Sophia & Elam
He is buried at Snyder Cem, Middleport, Meigs, OH
