The family relocated to McMinn Co, Tennessee by the time of the 1840 U.S. Federal Census.[3] During the 1860 U.S. Federal Census, Elizabeth was living with her youngest daughter and son, Harriet R. Rodden and William J. Rodden, still in McMinn Co, TN. Her occupation was noted as a tailoress.[4] By the 1870 U.S. Federal Census, she had relocated to Marion Township, Sebastian, Arkansas, and was keeping house in her own residence. It was noted in this census that she could not write.[5]
Elizabeth died of pneumonia in February 1880 in Marion, Sebastian, Arkansas[6] and was buried at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery, Jenny Lind, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Her memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members.[7]
