Jane Hill was born 16 February 1792 in Green County, Georgia. ^[1] She was a daughter of Thomas Smithers Hill and [[Shropshire-39|Catherine Shropshire. She married Robert Patrick Bates 25 March 1808 in Sparta, White County, Tennessee. She passed away 01 November 1853 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. She was interred in Burgess Cemetery, Golden, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. ^[1]
