Birth and Parents

Mary (Hill) Crittenden was born in Massachusetts.

Mary Ann, the Daughter of Prudence [sic] Hills (1726-1775) and Martha Aiken (1729-1817) was born on 18 April 1759 at Ashfield, Massachusetts.

Marriage and Children

Mary Ann wed Benjamin Crittenden, the son of Isaac and Lucy (Benton) Crittenden on 17 January 1777 at Ashfield, Franklin Massachusetts. They had nine children:

  1. Benjamin Crittenden (b. 1778; d. 1847) m. say 1796, Hester Goodrich (1773-1834)
  2. James Crittenden (b. 1780; d. 1847) m. 1794 at N. Gwillimbury, Canada, Eunice Ann Draper (1789-1839)
  3. Asa Crittenden (b. 1780; d. 1859) m. 2 Mar 1804 at Ludlow, MA, Sophia Wright (1784-1844)
  4. William Crittenden (b. 13 Mar 1781; d. 1866) m. 1810 at Ontario, Rebecca Sprague (1788-1878)

Death and Burial

Mary Ann (Hill/s) Crittenden died in 1858 in her 98th year at Georgina.[2]Her burial location is not known; however, she had a Find-A-Grave Memorial.[3]
