Margaret "Maggie" Amelia Hill was born October 23, 1879 in Tennycape , Hants County, Nova Scotia to Matthew Hill and Margaret Godfrey.
At the age of 22 in Cheverie, Hants County and by Presbyterian Lisence, Maggie married Reuben Kerr who was a Sailor from Cheverie, Hants County, Nova Scotia. Witnesses to the wedding included Seth Dill, A McCulloch with the Reverend William Forbes officiating the ceremony.
The 1901 Walton Census finds them living in Walton, Hants County with Thomas Lingard, a widowed Farmer. The Lingards and Hills were relatives.
Maggie's husband eventually took on farming and they raised their family in Cheverie.
Her husband died in 1940.
Margaret died at the age of 77 years 6 months 3 days on March 27, 1957 at the Payzant Memorial Hospital in Windsor, Hants County. Informant for death registration was Mrs. Mae Giles of Kempt, her daughter.
She was buried in Bramber, Nova Scotia.
