Alexander was Christened September 18,1755 in Bourtie, Aberdeen, Scotland.
His wife and some of his children came with him when he immigrated to Nova Scotia. They landed in Pictou, Pictou County, Nova Scotia June 27, 1809 aboard the ship "Hope".(still researching ship name)
He is recorded as a Engineer on his son Matthew's Death Registration.
It is believed he settled somewhere in Pictou/Colchester counties. His sons eventually had farms and families and some settled Economy with Alexander moving to Moosebrook and Matthew to Cape Breton.
Ongoing investigation of this line. It is possible that Alexander may have settled in Egerton, Pictou County and am currently pursuing.........
