George was born in 1861 and son of Chrismon Hill and Elizabeth Johnston. George married Cora O. Wise on June 6,1886 in Henry County, Missouri and they got a divorce in 1895. His death date is unknown and he is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Kay County, Oklahoma. He has no tombstone. [1]

In The District Court in and for Logan county, Oklahoma - Cora O. Hill, Plantiff VS George C. Hill, Defendant

The above named Defendant will take notice that he has been sued by the Plantiff, Cora O. Hill, in district Court of Logan County, Oklahoma and he must answer or otherwise plead to the petition filed therein on or before the 7th Day of October, A.D., 1895 or said petition, praying for a divorce and the care and control of their two minor children will be heard and judgement rendered accordingly as prayed.

Death Notice

THE BODY OF G. C. HILL FOUND

Saturday afternoon this office by Prosecuting Attorney, B. c. Wheck, that the body of G. C, Hill had been found that morning near the bridge east of Ponca and desired to inform the surviving brother, Mark c, Hill, of that city to be informed of that fact.

Mr. M. C. Hill left that evening for Ponca and identified the corpse of his brother, who left have left March 18th for the that city with two boats.

The body was in good state of preservation and everything indicates that he died while moored on an island and drowned as first reported. The corpse was found by two boys who at once went to the authorities.

Deputy Sheriff Regnier had the body moved to an funeral home. of that city. The remains were interred in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monday.
