JONATHAN HILLMAN, (John1), b. abt. 1696; res. C., Husbandman. He m. (1) BETHIA COVELL (31) 5 Feb. 1722-3, who was b. abt. 1699 and d. after 1744; (2) KEZIAH LUCE (68) 29 June 1749, who was b. abt. 1724. He d. 1777 and his will 20 Feb. 1772 was pro. 9 Jan. 1778. Inv. £837-15-10.

Probate
Jonathan Hillman of Chilmark, yeoman, being weak of body, wrote his will, dated 12 February 1772 and presented 29 January 1778, in which he named his wife Keziah, son Samuel, daughter Mary Hammet, daughter Martha Claghorn, son Ezra, kinsman Zechariah Hilman; sons Samuel and Ezra to be joint executors.[1] His estate was inventoried on 19 March 1778.[2] It should be noted that daughters Elizabeth and Jane were probably deceased without issue by 1772 as they were not mentioned in his will.
