Biography

Edmond Hinckley was born 29 Jun 1745 in Phippsburg, Lincoln, Massachusetts Bay Colony (now Phippsburg, Sagadahoc, Maine). He is the son of Samuel Hinckley III Hinckley-354 and Sarah (Miller) Hinckley Miller-19866.[1] Edmond married Mary Pettingill Pettingill-135 14 Aug 1767 at Georgetown, Maine. [2] Edmond passed away 18 Aug 1807 in Georgetown, Lincoln, Massachusetts (now Georgetown, Sagadahoc, Maine).[3]

CAUTION! There are 2 different Edmund/Edmond Hinckley's as shown in the different birth records in the sources. !. b. 9 Sep 1745 at Brunswick, Maine is the son of Edmund Hinkley and Sarah (Unknown) Hinkley. 2. b. 29 Jun 1745 at Phippsburg, Maine (also recorded as Georgetown, Maine) is the son of Samuel Hinckley and Sarah Miller. Their fathers are brothers.
