The surname Hinman was spelled Kinman in the 1870 census. Rebecca "Kinman" was age 1 in 1870 and living at Alviso, Santa Clara County, California along with her parents in the household of her grandmother, Jesusa Bellamy.[1]
No records about Rebecca have been found after 1870. She was not listed in the 1880 census among the members of the household of Juan Bernal who had married her mother Martha in 1875.[2] Of course, she would have been 21 years old and could have married by 1880 although thus far a marriage record for her has not been located.
